Our Story

Braddah Timmy grew up on Maui learning his ohana's recipes from his Mom and Dad. In 2004 he brought those flavors to Santa Cruz, opening his first restaurant. In 2010 he launched Pono Hawaiian Grill - serving island-style mixed plate or street food, signature creations, and live Hawaiian music featuring such greats as Eddie Kamae, The Makaha Sons, George Kahumoku, Led Kaapana, Makana, John Cruz, Willie K, Ocean Kaowili, Darlene Ahuna, Kevin Brown, and many many others to his venue and restaurant. 

By 2021, sourcing ingredients became a challenge, so he partnered with a family-owned manufacturer to bottle the exact island flavors from his kitchen! Pono Hawaiian Foods was born - now you can taste the aloha anywhere! Aurai!
