Crispy Pork Gyoza with Island Chili Crunch
Share
Have you tried our Island Chili Crunch Oil over steamed Pork Gyoza!? Such a simple and delicious appetizer and our Chili Crunch takes it to a whole other level.
We love to buy the Ajinamoto Japanese Style Gyoza from Costco Wholesale. They make a simply delicious version of the Japanese appetizer. Reminds my of growing up in Kihei where my mom would make Gyoza from family recipes from way back when. We loved to eat them up and often she would have rice with furikake, some kind of protein like Chicken Teriyaki and pickled takuan! Lots of island flavor in all the dishes mom made growing up. With 4 mouths to feed she was always in the kitchen seemingly cooking up so much goodness!
For the Gyoza, the Costco one comes with like 50+ pieces in it. For 2 people you can use like 6-8 pcs but I will eat 6-8 by myself! Haha..
Place Gyoza in a steamer basket over boiling water. Steam for about 8-10 mins.
Sear the gyoza in a cast iron pan with a bit oil on medium heat. Add the gyoza and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden and crispy. Heat as many as you can eat!
Place on serving dish and break open that Island Chili Crunch Oil! Dig deep down and spoon up some of that UMAMI crunchy garlic and shallots and drizzle over your gyoza. Sprinkle your gyoza with some Pono Nori Komi Furikake too for even more depth and umami!
You WILL NOT be disappointed! 'Ono to the max! Enjoy folks!
